It has been two years since The Acolyte was cancelled on Disney+. Two years later, and The Acolyte still has a devoted fanbase. Two years later, cast members like Dafne Keen, who played Jecki Lon, Manny Jacinto, the man behind The Stranger, and Leslye Headland, the show’s creator, are still advocating for a second season of The Acolyte. Two years later, The Acolyte’s return to the list of top ten shows streaming on Disney+ in early 2026 is proof that there is still an active interest in the show.

The enjoyment of the feature film debut of The Mandalorian and Grogu, and the anticipation around the upcoming second season of Ahsoka, show a desire to see the adventures of established characters continue.
But what about new characters? New timelines and new stories?
The Acolyte is the first live-action narrative to take place outside of the Skywalker timeline. It features an ensemble cast of completely new faces and characters in an era unexplored on screen. The fact that there is still an active fanbase and interest in a second season, even two years post-cancellation, is proof that audiences want to see more of this new era in the galaxy far, far away.
Therefore, again, we fans of The Acolyte implore you to renew The Acolyte for a season 2 (3 and a movie)! We are still fighting for it, and we are not going anywhere.
